Konstant crafmanship
Introducing Máni – A timeless chair by Konstant
A piece of furniture that combines beauty, comfort, and longevity. Built with expert craftsmanship and quality materials of Icelandic sheepskin.
Konstant proudly unveils the Máni chair, a design years in the making by Sigurjón, inspired by the Scandinavian furniture style of the 1950s. The greatest challenge in its creation was the backrest, which defines the chair’s overall form. Over time, the seat, legs, height, and angle all came together in perfect balance.
Upholstered in luxurious Icelandic sheepskin from Brákarey, Máni offers both comfort and character. Its curved backrest, reminiscent of a waxing crescent moon, gives the chair its name—Máni, the Icelandic word for the moon.
Developed in collaboration with Nord Collective, Konstant is now bringing this timeless, handcrafted piece to life.

Brákarey is owned by three Icelandic farmers dedicated to sustainability and ethical farming, our sheepskins come from sheep that have lived safe, free-roaming lives in the wild landscapes of the west-coast of Iceland. Descended from Viking-era breeds, Icelandic sheep have a unique dual-coated fleece, making their sheepskins exceptionally and naturally insulating. Available in limited quantities each year, our finest selections are tanned using eco-friendly methods in Sweden, ensuring both quality and sustainability.
